An incredible 3-metre-high Eiffel Tower!
Chocolatier Jean Luc Decluzeau’s new challenge? Reproduce the grande dame according to the plans for the 1900 Universal Exhibition. Over 350 kg of dark chocolate, 280 meters of beams and girders…

The Musée Gourmand du Chocolat is always innovating and putting on a show! On Wednesday June 15, the museum inaugurated a giant, never-before-seen sculpture of the Eiffel Tower.
Climb aboard the time machine… and return to the 1900 Universal Exhibition! After his magnificent reproduction of the Arc de Triomphe, French sculptor-chocolatier Jean-Luc Decluzeau has set himself a major new challenge: to reproduce the Eiffel Tower according to Gustave Eiffel’s plans. This 3-metre-high masterpiece required 350 kg of dark chocolate, 2,560 chocolate elements and pieces, and 280 metres of beams and girders ranging in thickness from 3 to 20 millimetres. This colossal task required 550 hours of painstaking work between November 2015 and June 2016 – that’s 7 months!
